On this post I'll tell you how can you beggin with this musical journey giving you 5 tips that I would have liked to hear when I began with the violin.
1. Practice makes perfect
We can become better by practicing often and regularly as the old adage Practice makes perfect. So I encourage you to try with #30daysofpracticechallenge which is a challenge where you have to practice every single day during a whole month and record your progress. At the end of the month you'll see your improvement.
2. Listen as much music as you can
Imagine that you want to learn a new song on your violin, then the first thing you gotta do is to listen to that special song many many times, after doing this, you'll notice that is easier to learn that song.
3. Do I need a teacher to learn?
Currently there are many options to learn how to play violin so if you don't have chance to get a violin teacher you can buy an online violin course, this is a really affordable option due to it costs less than a violin face to face lesson.
Personally I've recommended this Online Violin Course considering that is really fun, and it includes a lot of famous songs that you'll learn.
4. Pay attention to the details
You must pay attention to the smallest details about your violin posture, (must be straight and relaxed) your bow holding, so you can check your violin posture and now holding in front of a mirror and see those little details.
Although the most important thing is your sound, your sound should be clear, powerful and tuned.
5. Enjoy playing music!
The best advice I can give you is enjoy playing music! All these tips don't make sense if you're not enjoying playing with your violin, even though the methods and some exercises could be hard and tricky, don't get frustrated and enjoy what you're playing, get fun with them and try to play that special song that you've always wanted to play.
